Women's Trouser, Slate

The fabric is the whole point here. This is a soft, substantial European cotton-blend with a brushed, almost sueded hand — the kind you notice the moment you pull it on and don't want to take off. The cut is generous through the hip and thigh, tapering gently to a gathered, cuffed hem that keeps the silhouette intentional rather than sloppy. The color is a muted, chalky sky — closer to sea glass than sky blue — which photographs beautifully against natural wood, linen, and whitewash. It moves with real weight and recovers cleanly. The elastic drawstring waist is placed well, sitting below the natural waist so it doesn't pucker or bunch. I brought a small run of these in this season from European Culture, a label rarely seen in California, and I wore mine to a gallery opening and then on the ferry home. That range is the point.
